I hope you took some aspirin right away to minimize any after-effects. That is supposed to help.

Thanks Laura:D:cool: I don't know which is worse.....the cold sores......the two ulcers....... or the wretched Aciclovir ointment that has to have a ½" stripe put across the centre of my eyeball every two hours..........it is just great when the ointment glues your eye shut :(:(:(
The pain isn't too good but after a while you get used to it :eek:

Had another MRI every thing is relatively normal...no plaque in arteries so they have no idea what caused it.still can't type and looking into speech to text.hand is still cold and numb.

I had two strokes before... same thing... couldn't tell why. But real convenient of them to put me on a lifetime regiment of medication. But at least now, they've ruled out the really bad stuff. Best wishes for your continued recovery, Tim!

Don't take aspirin (that's for a suspected heart attach, not a stroke).
One of my friends and a retired coworker had a TIA (mini-stroke) in June. She has moved from a walker to a cane but she still has double vision.

I recall Edwin Collins (formerly of the band, Orange Juice) had a stroke, and had to learn to read again. It's a very serious condition. My mother had a stroke last year, but luckily it was a minor one. Sadly, her other health problems got the better of her, and she's in God's care now. This is why I absolutely detest cigarettes and vaping equipment. It's just a waste of health, and health is wealth.

For anyone who smokes, you may want to consider stopping it. Easier said than done. I'm kind of disappointed that New Zealand has gone and ended their smoking ban, as non smokers are being put at risk of inhaling this and ending up with problems caused by others.

Strokes with my family on both sides of parents, including both parents, goes back three generations that I know of. I reckon my siblings and I would be natural candidates. So I'm familiar with the type of concerns you and your family have, regardless the "face" you put to us on in the Forum - I've been at too many bedsides 'til the end, so I can only say how I admire your attitude - it is majorly fantastic!:)

Lifestyle? Stress? Whatever you're doing, perhaps you need to slow down some and pace yourself.
