Mayhaps them that are perpetually woke, are now being hoisted on their own silly petard by them that are recently woke! It would seem the elites always like to make rules for others that they never want applied to themselves, and therefore never envision the possibility of it happening in the future.

Is posting these questions as part of A reply to Eldon's post possibly a breach of sorts to the rules of posting? So, for instance should I have started my own new post with a link to Eldon's post rather than posting as part of his post?

It's not malicious. The Washington Post is a business and they want to make money off you. Buy a subscription and read all the articles you wish. Register and get a few free articles and they hope you like them well enough to buy a subscription, of which they will remind you by email on occasion.

 

Thanks JP, What troubles me is the idea that ANYTHING in these days are indeed FREE. I started to create a follow up elaborating on my thinking that "FREE" more often than not wants INFO! Your email address is worth X amount of M O N E Y!
I wrote X because I really have NO IDEA how much it is worth. If there is any truth in the answer: " it is worth what you can get " then my guess is that the X is not a specific number. Perhaps it's more like CRYPTO especially when the DOLLAR amount is ( DOLLARS $$$ always seem to be the standard; in the best of times and the worst of times; EVERYONE ALWAYS WANTS DOLLARS ) so the X floats and yields what the market bears.
Maybe someone here can shed some light with REAL numbers.
I also find it curious that the reality that NOTHING IS FREE doesn't have a number floating around the ether. Or maybe I'm just one of a different # of HB's who doesn't pay close enough attention and "IT IS OUT THERE" a little like the theme of THE X FILES " THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE "
Even that for me brings up the question what exactly is "TRUTH" and in particular " THE TRUTH " I think that I can also say that many HB's think that "TRUE" and " TRUTH " are somehow tied to each other. I recall getting off on a semester long examination of that question in PHILOSOPHY 101 Oh, to be young, curious, open and closed at the same time for some of us.
I'm interested in exploring The Lounge and following Laura's admonishment : NO POLITIC OR RELIGION. Is that possible? when it's both of those things that is dividing us as THE US of A. I took the oath and " served MY COUNTRY along side others who thought differently than I did and MOST OF THE TIME I felt confident that they had my back against The Others because AMERICA came shinning through. When the politicians learn THAT LESSON maybe WE can rediscover what makes us the GREATEST! Does that bit of rambling make some sense?
