    Hello all,

Hello i'm new. I'm having trouble with the Vista transformation pack 6.0. The start icon is a bit "out of place"

Does anyone know how to fix it? I tried doing the re-pair option but nothing. Here's an image:

    Peace,

    Robbie

PS. Why isn't there a "back" button? I have to close the window and go back into the folder if i want to return to the previous folder

Hmm, no offense but that screenie doesn't look anything like Vista. Anyways, I steer clear of these packs as all they've done is screw my XP more often than not. I've got Vista RC2 ATM and will be buying Home Premium in Feb.

I was thinking about trying this but I hadn't heard anything about it. Are other people having problems with the transformation pack? How could I get vista RC2?

Some have had software application failures and at worst need a re-install of th eOS, hacking the GUI is always a temperamental think, I used to do it manually and buggered up at least 3 XP installs years ago, dont do it now personally as I like a stable PC.

Unless friend has it still on CD, you dont as the testing is over, Jan 30th is the date you can buy the final retail version, unless you have acess via your company to their Vol licencing of MS software and will let you have licence copy for home.

I feel your pain Halo and that's why I stay away from it like the plague! BTW, I just found this yesterday, Vista business trial, at least I hope so as I've not tried it yet. http://www.microsoft.com/smallbusiness/products/windows-vista/default.aspx

That doesn't sound good...I use this pc for work so I wouldn't want to go through the mess of a re-install. I already have three copies of xp and would hate to buy vista just because I wanted a new toy.

Sorry, it's only a virtual lab but still gives one an idea of what Vista feels like. One needs a good connection for this, dialup would be be horrible.
