Slow PC: Plis Help !

Hi guys

from last 2-3 days i have seen my laptop gone slow.. the start-up takes app 5 min, and the programs also load slower..

just the day before this started happening i had updated my azureus and downloaded some plugins and all that azureus was asking to download.. and i had also setup a static IP for port forwarding to my router, and i had updated my yahoo messenger..

i dont have any pop-up or new toolbar or anything like that appearing though, and also the spysweeper and avg scans are clean, so it seems no spyware is there..

can anyone kindly help me in finding where may be the prob..

i have attached the logs in malware forum, they dont show anything significant, and i am waiting for a reply from last 3 days..

 

the startup is slow.. app 6 min, specifically something called " synaptics pointing device" at the tuskbar takes lot of time to load..
and the cursor pauses sometimes for a lil while, then again runs..

 

ok guys, i have discussed my issue in the malware forum and it seems everything is fine; but still my problem is: the laptop startup is slow (about 4 min)
the welcome music that comes at startup , comes in a broken manner; and when i run even two programs together (yahoo messenger n windows media player) the system gets slow , and the cursor starts moving in pause n go manner, when i start a video, the video plays in pause n go fashin for first few seconds..

any help will be really great !

The synaptics pointing device is the software for the mouse touchpad.

Are you running Azureus at startup? If you are, don't. It is a Java based application and uses a relatively large amount of memory for the program and it's Java environment to run. It's also possible that Azureus update or one of those plugins you downloaded is causing a memory issue. Try using µTorrent as your BT client for a little while and see if it makes a difference

thanks for the reply. i have actually removed azureus and put utorrent about a month back, but that didnt help !
