Malware and defrag problems

Hey everyone,

I am feeling very stupid here lately. I have gone through most of the steps in R&R and I seem to have really screwed up some where and cannot figure out where it happened at. Now I am more interested in completely wiping my computer but am not sure exactly how to go about it. This laptop is used for school and I have a lot of items saved specifically for school and do not want to lose them. I am very new to any forum and therefore am not sure how to ask proper questions so bare with me. Could someone give me a step-by-step procedure in safely wiping my computer? If so, I would appreciate it. Now for the defrag problem. I had noticed a few months ago that I was unable to defrag my C drive. I know how important it can be to defrag as often as needed so I am nervous at the fact that I cannot. Attached, you will notice the command prompt text file and that I have chosen 'no' for the system to run on restart. The reason for this is because when I chose 'yes' and restart, it never continues like it is supposed to. My drive is dirty and corrupt but I cannot find where it is messed up at in order to fix it. Any suggestions on this? Thanks guys!

Thank you for your reply. I will start going back through the R&R procedures once again. I will be reposting under this post log if I run into anymore problems. Thanks again! I will be re-starting the R&R stuff on Monday or Tuesday.
