"Your computer is infected, click her to fix" internet explorer window with no controls.

    &

    Windows Security Center:

    No Firewall is turned on.
    No Anti-Virus software installed.
Automatic Updates are not turned on.

Under change how windows alerts me about security alerts I have all unchecked becuase I have norton 2002 which i like due to the newer bloated (graphical) and the older version doesn't tell windows of it's presence, so i unchecked all so it doesn't keep bother me.

When these are unchecked, the scan treats them like infections.

Here are my posts and I followed the direction to a "T".

Everything, installed, scaned and saved file ok.

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

I don't see any problems in what you have attached thus far. You should have also attach a HijackThis log as requested in step 7 of the READ & RUN ME.

I'm not sure what you are saying your problems are. If you turn off Windows Security Center, the scanners (Spybot in particular) will warn you (they don't say it is an infection) that the settings are not normal. It is just a notification to make sure you check it out.

Are you also saying you have something popping up telling you that you have infections? Is it a ballon in the tray or is it a full screen type image? I see no signs of this kind of infection commonly referred to as SmitFraud.

I do see two old Sun Java version that you should uninstall and then get the current version.

Uninstall the below old versions of software:
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 10
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6

Make sure you reboot after uninstalling the above!

After reboot, now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Even after I said I "followed the directions to a "T" I still forgot to post the analyse.exe "hijackthis". Sorry, brain fart.

In reference to the box that pops up it is just a window that looks like internet explorer but has none of the control, just a box with the red X in the corner and the hole content of the box is a link to somewhere, i justed never clicked it becasue i know it wasn't norton telling me that there was an infection, but i am tired if seeing this box... i will post a screen shot if that's ok?

Reference spybot reporting, security alerts tunred off, it was in red so i just assumed that it was bad, i guessing my some virus or malware may shut those alerts oh malicously or something, maybe that it why it checks that.

I have the latest version of java as of yesterday.

Thank you for the quick response!

There are no problems showing in your HJT log either.

Yes please do. Also when you hold your mouse over the popup, do you see anything like a link showing in the status bar at the bottom of the popup window? If not, if you right click in the windows and select Properties can you see an address or URL?

As I said before, if you disable Windows defaults, Spybot will warn you that they are not set to default. This is not a problem as long as you are the one that has disabled them or if your antivirus program has changed them from defaults.
