OK, so I finally reloaded it on this machine of mine.

HOLY CRUD!!!!!

This thing is fast. I am surfing a heck of a lot faster than IE did.

My only complaint is that I have yet to figure out how to import my IE bookmarks to FF. Anyone have suggestions? (actually, this is a post mainly about how I love the speed I can surf with now, the bookmarks is just a side note)

I figured i would give it a whirl and was blown away by how fast pages loaded and how fast things kept coming up for me. I love this browser now. Of course, it will just be me using it as I do not want to spend the time trying to explain it to the other half

Just Click File>Import and follow the instructions.

 

Thanks Lev..... am in a bit of a manic at the moment so did not have the patience to really look all the way around. appreciate the help tho. Now to go get more laundry done and start on dinner and making my little stash safe when I am done making dinner. Oh yeah, I have a whole bunch of projects to do tonight. Hey Calltaker if you think FF is fast try Opera. you will notice the same speed difference between it and FF that you did between FF and IE:wave

 

LOL... will have to put that on the list. Trying to get as much done around the house as I can as it looks like my schedule is going to be changing shortly at work to overnights. Not thrilled, but it will be 3 on 3 off, so my schedule will be all sorts of screwed. Thing is, it will be just me and the supervisor and I don't think he will go for me surfing a lot...

Ah well.... such is life, all I know is that my pay had better reflect a shift differential for doing them this favor.....

Try the FasterFox extension, then you will learn the true meaning of fast

 

Wow... I just checked, i am running FF2.0 and still it pops right up and pops the pages open real quick for me. I will ahve to see about opera. Waiting to get my final schedule for the next month or so.... it's been years since I worked nights and here I am going back to it again.... ah well.

I'm on FF and I sit next to someone on IE6, and if we hit the browser button at the same time to go to a page, I'm always there first...

Though I've always said that speed isn't what is most important in life! roflmao

I use firefox 2 and tried minefield on the x64, way fast, I also use Firetune with firefox and it makes the whole thing very fast, a great combo there! Makes it almost as fast as Minefield!

 

THe only add on I am using is the google toolbar (but I love google anyways) which may be part of why it is so fast, but... oh hell... soryy... had more to say and lost it, got news a little while ago that a good friend died last night after a short bout with brain cancer. Kinda throws the whole day on it's arse.

One other thing I have to mention..... (gods I sound like Columbo now)

I love the fact that I have a built in spell checker courtesy of Google tool bar I believe. Makes my posts here much more readable

the built-in spell checker came with the last FF2.0 update.
