I work for a company that 'Activates Windows' -tomorrow will be busy as wave after wave of Vista calls come in -Aside from Activations I do Additional Licensing, Terminal Server, Office Activations, WGA, and a few other campaigns.
Starting tomorrow I will be presented with a million questions that I cannot answer (I still don't know the cost of Additional Licensing for Vista, I still don't know what to do with Vista customers who fail WGA, etc.)
So tomorrow will be busy, and confusing for me -maybe I'll actually talk to a few of you.
Any thoughts you have on WGA, Additional Licensing, Terminal Server, XP/Vista Activations are welcome.
Remember -I don't REALLY work for MS -I just take a few of their calls.
    Thanks.

Nope: I'm hesitant to say exactly which company('cause I don't want to get in trouble), but I will say that I work out of Canada.

(edit my sig, which is my PC deets.)

Its not government work, but ok ;)

I only mentioned CVG in Canada because they are one of the last native english speaking XP/Vista support sites that HASN'T gone to India.

Now I feel bad for being so secretive: I'm only doing it because I don't want to loose my job as I frequently post negative comments about MS. I have *some* inside knowlege of MS's policies because of my position. I have lot's to say about MS policy -but I often find myself defending MS, as well. I'm in a position to dispell FUD. Just remember that I am contracted by MS -I don't actually work for them.
I have defended MS in the past (especially when it comes to WGA which in my experience is ALWAYS correct) -but I have also been critical of MS (all their programs to PROVE that you have the RIGHT to run their software).
I'm a fan of Ubuntu but MS pays the bills: I *try* to be rational about both worlds.
(edit: killing my PC deets, again)

I know all about MS policy and so forth. I worked doing XP support for a looong time.

The important thing is, they don't know your net handle ;)

they probably do know my net-handle, unfortunately -I just can't stay away from these comment sites that require my user name. Maybe I should take a minute or two to create another user-name to protect me from this stuff.
