i didn't have the time to stick with ubuntu, beryl kept failing.

 

Anyone have an opinion on DesktopX and it's 'widgets'?

 

Works fine, but like all eye candy applications, it eats resources.

 

I only have a little clock running and everything seems to be operating at normal speed.

 

I said eats resources, not slows down your machine


Add a bunch of other stuff, I bet you will change your mind on the speed thing
