I am starting to need Outlook more and I have Outlook 2002.

I would like the program to automatically startup when I turn on my PC. Is there a way to have it run in the background so I can receive calender reminders without having a window open?

    Thanks!

Just drop a shortcut to the program into the startup folder in your start>programs>startup folder. It will start with anything else in that folder next time you boot. Can't help with a switch to have it boot minimised in the BG, sorry.

Shortcuts generally don't need a switch in order to run an app minimised. Just open the shortcut tab of the property page and select in the pull-down menu "minimised"...

    referring to Outlook_on_the_Desktop.

Once installed (you need to also have installed MS .NET v2.0), it will startup automatically at bootup and appear as a semi-transparent panel on your Desktop.

You cannot overlook it as you cannot minimise it normally.

I found a nice little app called Hide Outlook. Works great. Thanks everyone!
