We had started communicating quite a bit on Messenger and I know he would come and go occasionally, but typically if he hadn't been on Messenger for a while, I could usually find him lurking around here, sometimes. However...I haven't been able to raise him anywhere, for almost a month now!! We were actually in the middle of discussing something, but with his Australia hours and my Chicago hours, we would have to catch up with one another at odd times, but like I said...he all the sudden went MIA!!

At first I thought maybe he was blowing me off, but the last conversation we had, he said he was most definitely interested in picking up where we left off the next time we met up. So I don' t know what the deal is, and I'm just wondering if something bad had happened, or what!?!? confusedconfused

So anyway...enough of my novel...but I was just hoping that if anyone sees him around here, when I'm not here...could you tell him I was asking about him, and to get in touch with me!!

I am TERRRIBLY sorry to hear that!! I had no idea your mother was in that kind of situation!! He hadn't told me that, either that or as usual, I didn't pay attention to the fine details!!

I was hoping he hadn't blown me off because I really enjoyed chatting with him!! I honestly thought maybe his ISP had banned him for a bit, because I knew he had been doing some pretty heavy duty downloading, there at one time!!

Again...I'm very sorry to hear that...and as I always say.......They are resting in peace now!!!!

    Roger

P.S. It is currently 7:00am Chicago time, Saturday morning...so I will try to catch him/you on messenger as soon as possible!! I don't typically get up early enough to catch you on messenger, except through the week when I'm getting up at the butt crack of dawn to go to work...but one way or another, we'll hook up again!!

Hi Guys.....Have been away for a little over a month now with various commitments here and there, but just wanted everyone to know that all is good, and i really have missed being around all you crazy geeks.

Thanks to Roger, Lev, BC and others for keeping everyone in line during my absence, and want you all to know that it wasn't a case of not wanting to be here, it was just unavoidable, that's all.(Only another 25 years till i can retire)

Looking forward to chatting with my buddies on MG's again, and im a bit shocked that anyone even noticed me MIA.....thanks again guys, and for now i'm off to have look around the forums and see what i've been missing out on.

    Cheers to all. ;)

P.S....My wife and i have spent some time interstate in Victoria with family commitments and bushfire prevention duties etc (half the state has been on fire for 50 plus days now) and i want to take this opportunity to send a HUGE thankyou to our Canadian and American firefighting friends who have helped us Aussies out immensley in our battle against these horrible bushfires.
You guys and gals helped to save many lives and properties that were in immediate danger, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.....

    Many thanks,

    Wayne:wave

Thanks for your kind words it truly means alot to me and my family.

Although in a funny sort of way i'm happy that she has gone, for now all the pain is over for her. Im just glad she got to see my second daughter been born before she went because we didnt think she would even get to see my first. the Docs told her in March 2004 she had 4 months to live yet she being the strong woman that she was lived it out til the 9th of jan2007.
Ever heard that song "I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR?" Yep? Well that song was made for my mum, she was truly amazing, she will be sadly missed but now its time to celebrate the life she lived and i know she is still with me and my fam.

once again thank you so much for the kind words!

My sincere condolences for you and the family, Brooke. It's never easy, and you miss them when they go, but then, like you said it makes you grateful to have been a part of their lives, and you theirs. Life's a journey, and we never really know when different doors are going to open or close in it.

One thing I learnt, is never go by the Doctor's estimations and time scale. I had a death sentence and six to twelve months prognosis years ago. I was one of the lucky ones, and beat the odds. I didn't get away with it 100% healed , but I'm still kicking, and with any luck, will be for a long time yet. So ya just never know.

I always like to think they are in a better place, and a large part of them is still with our hearts and minds. Great that she got to see both daughters.

Good thoughts and prayers to you all.

Yeah, on the subject of fires, there is starting to get a few bad ones in W.A. too. Been mercifully a lot cooler today, but still strong winds.

    Take care, all.

Thank you so much for your kind words, i truly believe they go to a better place too, hey who knows maybe my mum, GT, Steve Irwin and the big bopper are all up there drinking cocktails and dacing the jitter bug....LOL

You have really lived life, did you find you lived your life to the fullest once they gave you a time or did you tend to curl up?

even though i dont always trust what the doctors have to say i still would be a little worried every now and then thinking just maybe the got it right.

    Congratulations on winning the battle.

    You're welcome :) .

Well it wasn't my first close call with death. An incident in the British Army was the first, and probably came a fair bit closer to it. Something that's also painful to this day, in more ways than one. But I AM grateful to not only be here, but to be pretty much near fully functional.

I was young, and very fit in those days, plus had a lot of motivation to stick around, so those factors probably saw me through. Really, I just figure God's not finished with this little black sheep yet, eh.

I did start loosing that motivation for life in last few years. But two trips to hospital in a week and another few close calls, was a wakeup call in a big way.

At the end of the day, adverse circumstances like that just make me all the more determined to live life fully and to fulfil my various duties of care. So I just use the whole thing as a learning experience and motivational tool. Sometimes being a stubborn old goat has its advantages, LoL! ;)

Anyway, I know you'll have the necessary love and support around you to se you through these tough times. Take it easy, y'hear!
