Since Sunday I havent been able to access this one specific website. Its a site that I visit daily. I used CCleaner and found a couple viruses in my startup folder and removed them and then I was able to go to that website. Start the computer up today and I cant go to the website again. Any ideas? I checked CCleaner and those viruses arent listed anymore. Are they still on my comp somewhere?

Oh and the site is SVTPerformance.com. Its a car forum just like this that has 600 people on at every second so I dont think the site is giving me a virus. Its the only website I havent been able to go to. It acts like its trying to go to the site and then says page cannot be displayed. Really annoying...

Any suggestions? I went through all the malware stuff and restarted and still cant go to the website

    TIA

Restarted the comp again and a prompt came up that said "svchost.exe error

Click ok to exit the application or cancel to debug. Or something like that

Im connected to the internet wirelessly through a router here in the office. Secure connection of course.

Welcome to MajorGeeks.com, please follow the steps below:

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
    • CounterSpy
    • AVG Antispyware Log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
    • Bitdefender - from step 6
    • Panda Scan - from step 6
    • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
    • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
    • HijackThis

Ive figured out thats it got to do with the internet connection at the office. Weve got 4 computers hooked up to a router here and all of them are unable to access that website. Does it sound like an IP ban from SVT? What else could it be?

I go home and connect wirelessly and I can visit the website with no problems....
