Replacing XP Pro with XP Home

    A simple question probably but how do I remove XP Pro SP1 and replace with XP Home SP2? If I begin to install Home from the disc will it overwrite Pro?

    Reason being my Mother has bought a PC from where she works and it's got Pro installed but I want to put XP Home on for her instead. Sorry if this is a really stupid question!

    No question is stupid, only the one unasked.;) You will have to do a clean install of XP home thereby formatting the existing install of PRO. Backup anything your mom wants to keep first and then have at it. Of course you will have a ton of updates to install.
