how do you fix normaliz.dll?

My computer won't let me run explorer.exe or any games/movies. How do I re-install it????confused

 

that wont work for some reason ((

 

if windows xp, try sfc /scannow will ask for your xp disc.

 

start run then type in sfc /scannow and please keep it to the thread.

 

alrity, i cant get on run bc i cant get on start bc the explorer.exe is down bc normaliz.dll got uninstalled during the IE7 installation

 

task manager has a run item too, try it from there.

 

i did but the blk screen comes up then disappears and nothing else happens

 

I would try this step while in Safe Mode:

1. Restart the computer
2. Immediately after it powers back on, repeatedly hit F8 (despite any beeping) until you get to a 'Boot Options' menu
3. Select 'Safe Mode'

Windows will now load using a minimal number of drivers and services, so hopefully, it is stable enough in this state for you to run the system file checker, as recommended above.

it didnt work

 

A search of my XP Pro, does not reveal any normaliz.dll, only normalize.dll, relating to Music Match Jukebox. I only have IE6, though.

Have you any idea what program use normaliz.dll? Bazza
