Webcam Question

Hi there! Not sure if this is the right spot or not. I was wondering if anyone knew of anyway to save webcam pics that some one emails to me. We are chatting with yahoo and he has a webcam set up and I want to save it to be able to look at it later. Any ideas? THanks in advance!

As I understand it, when someone e-mails you (as an attachment) anything, the file automatically is downloaded to your computer (you just might not know where it is). You could search your temp internet files folder for a file with the extensions (.jpg, .bmp, .pic), or if you view the pic in your e-mail then just left click your mouse on the picture and use the "save as" in the function menu that pops-up. Name it what you want and then save it where you want to be able to find it next time!

Hi there and thanks for helping! I know I can do that with something that is emailed, but this was not emailed to me. It was done while we were instant messaging through yahoo. I tried to right click to save it but that was not an option.... Hummmmm...

 

If I understand you correctly, and If you are using XP, you can press the "Print Screen/Sys Rq" key while viewing the picture in question, and then paste it to a Word document. Or use a photo program such as GIMP available here . . .
