If you're currently using the built-in video, I would definitely add a good video card. There may be a problem with that however: HP is famous for not having either an AGP slot or PCI Express on their motherboards, which REALLY inhibits any type of video upgrade. In this situation, your only option would be a std. PCI video card, and the choices are not great. But it would be better than the on board video. Find out if you have an AGP or PCIX slot. If you do, post which slot it is, and we'll recommend some compatible video cards. If you only have PCI slots, don't bother with the upgrade, and start looking at some newer technology; and consider building your own custom PC. You'll learn alot and you can choose all your own parts to your personal needs and desired specs.

COOL! :D That means you can use a pretty high end video card. It really depends on your budget; and with modern PCIX video cards, the sky is pretty much the limit! I'll do a bit of research for you, and post some links for some mid-grade PCIX video cards.... give me a little time, and I'll get those links rollin'

OK- here's some mid to mid/high end cards. The ones marked with a '*' are the higher end, more expensive ones. The others should be under $200...

MaLabs is a wholesale PC component distributor, so you won't see any prices listed, but you'll get the specs and some ideas.... let us know what you end up doing ;)
Note: Some PCIX video cards might require a power supply upgrade also...

does it matter that the memory on these are dd3 and my mother board has ddr only or are these two things diffrent thanks

    Video Memory: 512MB DDR3

No- the memory in your PC and the memory on the video card operate independent of each other, so there will not be any problems with the different type of DDR. :D No worries.

I'm partial toward NVidia based cards, so I'm glad to see your choice! Either of those cards is a great choice. Here's one also at tiger, but it isn't over-clocked or superclocked or anything, but it's made by BFG, and (if I'm not mistaken) they have a lifetime warranty. Definitely something to think about- high end PCIx video cards have been known to work themselves into early graves. Here's the link: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2456679&CatId=1826
I don't think you'd notice any difference in performance with the BFG card versus one of the OC'd cards...
