Wireless Xfer of pictures from camera to pc

Does anyone know how or have an idea of how to transfer pictures from a digital camera to a pc, wirelessly?

I have a laptop that I carry in the field to transfer pictures from the CF card to the laptop and I can use a cable connected to the camera and laptop to transfer pictures, but it only allows you to go about 10' from the laptop.

When I am a great distance from the laptop, I would like to be able to transfer the pictures wirelessly.

Oh, the pictures sizes run from 6.2mb to 10.2mb.

you would need a camera with a wireless type reciever.

Unfortunately, Nikon has a setup for this, but not for the two cameras I have. There setup only works with the D2H, D2Hs and D2X cameras.

I was looking for a work-around, if at all possible.

Wouldn't it be simpler to move your cordless laptop? Just seems over complicating the situation to me.

 

Trust me. When you lug around a couple of cameras, 3/4 lens's, a bunch of necessary accessories, a tripod and then a laptop and accessories for any real distance, anything you can do to 'lighten' the load is worth it.

Plus, it would be GREAT to get it to work.
