What is meant by "high density" memory? how to tell?

    this is so frustrating. I'm on a third set of memory trying to get the ole compatibility thing going.

    is there a way to judge, from appearance, whether a memory module [DDR] is "high density" or "low density" ??? what do those terms mean, other than "your system won't work with one of these" ....... ? aarrghhhhhh

    Quickest way to check out what RAM you have / need, is to go to www.crucial.com and run an on-line scan. It will tell you lots of info about your RAM that will help you purchase the right stick/s. Bazza
