Most ANNOYING Website ever. Any thoughts?

I found this by accident and it is so annoying and pointless i had to post.

Got me thinking though, what are the most annoying websites that you know of. by annoying I mean have no point, dedicated to pointless things, most annoying interface/execution. I dont include sites that just dont work properly.

I will post a few more as I find the bookmarks.

I didn't have time to check them all but usually these sites are not pointless. They all have ad banners, they say something like "contact the creator for more" or they promote ethical/political opinions. One would say "what a silly way to advertise or spread your believes". You forget the power of the web. Millions of people use the web, hundreds of thousands are as stupid as a tree and will get kinda brain washed. It seems ridiculous to reasonable men but it is a money mine to some.

 

Well yes this is true. however, hear me out. Even MG has a strong commercial element and appears to make some of its money through embedding advertising. But does this mean that MG can be dismissed as a purely commercial site? No becaue it offers a productive service which it then capitalises on. Fair enough.

Many of these pointless sites operate in the same way as any other commercially driven website, they offer content, and then capitalise on traffic to it. However, my point is that even though they are commercially driven, their choice of content is still pointless, unlike MG whose content in useful, and so I think justifies my description as pointless sites pertaining to content. However, the arguement that many have a commercial point through PPC etc is valid.

BUT many of the sites listed do not even have the financial aspect, and are just utterly pointless. I speak of course of sites like the Chewey Sings site. these are amateur sites that reflect one persons misguided belief that others could care less what they are interested in.

At the end of the day the old adage is true which is that good content brings visitors. Hence the success of MG. :major

These sites are terrible but some of them had me crackin my sides!

The badger, giraffe, mango, hippo, llama, and miko miko nurse ones are like eating 300 liberty caps all at once and sitting in a room all day alone listening to `aqua` and staring at a kiddies animal quilt!

The rest are seriosly just crap, especially that JESUS one! its like a born again programmer has been reborn from the days of the ZX Spectrum!

By the way Rik_Na, i love the Cucumbers, Marrow, and Chutney ones. Not so much annoying but totally hilarious!! Still cant beat MangoMango though, I was in tears laughing at that after a little drink y/day! should try to get it into the UK charts, if MrBlobby can do it Im sure Mango can!

1) This page is designed to piss off anyone who visits by generating about 150 script boxes each of which have to be clicked. Each has an annoying message which you can read if you really want. If you open it and want to close it do the following:

HOLD CNTRL ALT DELETE All together at the same time until the 'Windows Task Manager' box opens. Then Select Applications the first Tab. Then select the webpage e.g. Most ANNOYING Website Ever and press end task. Then close the Windows Task Manager Box

Now I must admit this is without a doubt designed to be annoying, it is very annoying and very pointless. For the first few seconds it reminds me of a song i love, but then crushing dissapointment as the song is unetterably terrible in so many ways. This is really an annoying website. How many script archives did he raid? I like the, not really stolen from AT and T synth voice reading of the letter. Ahhh why dont people design websites like this anymore. Cause they have all gone out of business thats why. Good find.

Wayne, I think your right. I will sort out a poll this week. As for the sound, it takes a wee while. Its basically a badly done reworking of a song I cant quite put my finger on, which appears to be about the product not having any side effects. quite sad and annoying .
