With the latest version of Opera you get "Speed Dial", when you open the "New Tab" you can customize the screen to speed dial your favourite sights. For people like me that have numerous bookmarks, and admittedly not the best Bookmark house cleaner this is a great feature for the most used sites.

The latest Opera is here at Major Geeks Linkhttp://www.majorgeeks.com/Opera_d559.html

Just a side note if you use Opera Updater as of now it does not appear to give you this latest versionconfused , so you have to download the latest version from the Major

Yes, not a bad idea for a loading page... get all your favoured sites in one go.

In Firefox you can have all your favourites in one folder and open them all in tabs simultaneously.

There is a Speed Dial extension for Firefox already http://showcase.uworks.net/download.html Seems to work ok but does throw a lot of entries in prefs.js (icons, pics) Easy to clean up if needed.
