I just bought this card reader and it doesn't seem to create a drive under the Hard Disk Drive section in My Computer.

The computer seems to recognize it (Muti Flash Reader USB Device) when I click on the Safely Removal Hardware icon. I just don't know how I can access the actual SD card.

Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in Advance!

It should actually show up as a removeable media drive.

I thought so too and it does for my roommates PC but not mine. I'm a bit stumped at this point. Because when it shows up in the device manager also.

did you try restarting with it plugged in? There could be some kind of driver issue that might be loaded better during windows boot-- just a thought.

Otherwise, make sure your system is virus and malware free

Well I know I don't have any viruses or weird things going on. Actually when I plug in my USB 2.0 to IDE Cable in, it works perfect. I don't know why its not working with this SD USB 2.0 device in the same way.

When I plug in the SD USB 2.0 no autoplay appears like when the USB 2.0 to IDE Cable is first plugged in.

And yes I did try a restart with it plugged in.

It also states on the Safety Removal Screen "USB Mass Storage Device at Location 0"

I opened KillDisk and the program says under Hard Disk Drive SDCARD (1: )

Are you putting SD cards in that thing to try it out? :p ... Hey what OS are you using any ways, because that can play a Major part in this and also have you installed or uninstalled any drivers or Hardware?
