Homework help needed

I didn't know where to post this... I need to write weekly timetables for three support engineers (maybe one boss/purchaser) but I haven't really got a clue what one would look like, what a support engineer's working week involves apart from fixing things - I don't even know how are those jobs would be allocated. For example, would one person always fix certain things, e.g. in workshop, while another person goes to the PC to fix in situ?. There's nothing in the course book and we have had no lessons or discussions of the matter. I am just SO stuck and I'm running out of time. :cry

Where can I find information or could anyone here give tell me what they do as an example which I could convert it into timetable?

Also, what are the current developments in mobile technologies for local area networks? If only there was a list or something, I could find out more...

No, that's the point: I've got nothing to get even started! :cry
In normal place I could perhaps talk to our college support engineer but they lock their doors and refuse to talk to students - they don't even open the door to lot of teachers! They check who's at the door from a peep web cam that's in a peephole. As for my teacher, he gave a 10 min talk to class about analogue waves in first year and we've never heard anything since apart from reading the assignments aloud... So many times I have asked him if I am on the right track with my assignments, have I actually understood how to read Manchester code tree etc, but he just ignores me. I'm not the only one, but a few students (who don't usually need any help) get given information privately, while most don't get to hear anything.
I don't know about other schools, but I just cannot stop wondering how my school is getting awards of excellence - even our computers are only now being upgraded to P3s and monitors must older than me! rolleyes

All I can find is a Engineering project plan.

I only know about Building Engineers, mainly they fix mechanical problems, inspect, or maintain all day, some plumbing, electrical if minor.

Thanks, I'm not sure if for this assignments but it gives me an idea of how go on about planning a project, especially using a project plan. (Got one at school but I've never used it) Your text might have given me some ideas, now If I just could stretch it for all three people, 9-5 (or thereabouts) and 5 days a week....

Try looking up 'Gantt Charts'; 'Work Scheduling' ;'Time Scheduling' and just 'Scheduling' on Google . I found plenty.

I agree it would not be best thing in the world to be spoon fed but what's the point of being at school at all if the lecturers don't help? Might just as stay at home to do the work...

The thing is that not having done work like that, I don't know if my example would be feasible or a good practise - is that how support system works? And I know even less what a manager/purchaser does all day long, let alone all week long.

You might look up job descriptions for each person, that would give you an idea of what they do all day, easy to find, then edit a template.
