Out of frequency range?

My computer took a dump on me about two weeks ago.So,I took it to a repair guy and he did a bunch of stuff.Removed a bunch of programs,reinstalled windows,installed a DVD drive,added a second hard drive,another memory card,an nVIDIA card,and removed my iolo stuff and added AVG.(Said it was better)

Now,whenever I try to play a game,any game,even the free ones you download for Zone or any of the free sites.The game will attempt to start,(you hear the music) but the screen goes black and I get a colorbar and the message,Out of frequency range.I have tried changing resolution,256 bit color,disabling themes,you name it.But I still get the same message.Any ideas?

 

Seems to be an LCD monitor problem, a CRT would probably work. Look to Windows Update and the monitor manufacturer for a fix or a driver update.Also might be able to fix by changing the monitors frequency/refresh rate. Start, Control Panel, Display, Settings, Advanced, Monitor, Monitor settings.

Well,I tried that too.Increased it from 60htz to 70htz,etc,nothing seems to help.I need a hammer!

Well,I danced all around with this piece of junk,and I cant make heads or tails from it.So,I asked Dell to send me a cd for everthing that came on this thing and I will try that route!
