vista removal

Does anyone know where I can get some easy to follow instructions on how to remove vista and go back to xp ?

 

Insert WinXP, reboot, set the BIOS to make the CD/DVD drive boot first, and install XP. I know that is an over simplified answer, but you are not giving any info on problems or anything, so it should work.

the problem is most of the software I use is not compatible with vista especially nero 6 I know nero 7 is but I dont have an extra $80 lying around plus I started getting lock ups alot , dont know if its vista doing that but I havent changed anything else

 

Have you thought about Dual Booting? Keep Vista and reinstall XP on a seperate partition? As long as your HDD is formatted as NTFS you will be able to access data, pics, etc from both OS versions.

 

Ya, I dual boot also but if Vista is pre-installed, it could be tricky to get your Vista back into a dual boot.

 

dual booting sounds fine , so I could continue using all my old software while getting use to vista which was an upgrade that came free with a new computer , its original o/s is xp . how do I set up to dual boot and if I decided to just go back to xp my computer didnt come with a windows xp cd , I had to make back up cd's 3 of them are they what I would use to reinstall xp ?
