formatted laptop needs drivers

Hi

What is your laptop Make and Model as maker of laptop will have all the drivers you need at their website support section.

One of the main ones you need are the chipset/motherboard drivers as they allow correct pickup of many of those items you listed and should be installed first.

Then install the others liek Graphics, Network, Sound etc

 

Sadly not finding that one on Hi-Grades website, even for just the internal hardware specs which could hold clues as to the chipset used.

But try this as it may give us a starting point as to what hardware you have insode that PC, main one to start with is the motherboard chipset drivers, but download and install this http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html

then run and click Report > Report Wizard > Next > choose System Summary Only > Plain Text and follow the prompts then once the data is gathered choose Save to File then attach the TEXT doc

 

*hint, while XP does have a large driver DB, its likely not to have all 5 of those as 3 are Chipset Driver related and 1 is onboard GFX ( XP will install a basic VGA driver but thats all ) in which as a laptop needs specific mobile gfx drivers and 1 is possibly on the XP cd in the Mass Storage device ( but this may not be as it could be a 3rd party chip for say a Card Reader or PCMCIA slot ) but for the OS to correctly aquire them and maybe install any drivers it has the Chipset Drivers are needed to be firstly installed.


@Virus, that model is also not listed on the Hi-Grade support area, only mention of it is in a press release from 2005 in which they used a Intel Celeron M CPU and not as you posted above an AMD Athlon, which is why the printout from Everest will show me and others alot more info so we can assist.

or contact Hi-Grade for a driver CD.

Run Everest as I mentioned and attach the TEXT file only and i'm pretty sure we can all find the drivers you need, as the os finding and installing a driver on boot and you having to sys restore all the time, seems like a wrong driver or one that has picked up the hardware but cannot fully install due to another missing driver, again likely to be the chipset.
