hey dutch, if its free then why is there no mention of how to actually USE the program on the site??

 

you download SUPER first, and then you can convert any video (including FLV). If you want to download a movie from google or youtube etc, you can use the firefox add-in 'VideoDownloader'.

using SUPER is super easy, you just drag/drop the file into the space provided in the Super window, then you convert.

DutchMarco, I do not mean to criticizes but dang Bro, that Super set off every alarm on my system. It took four reboots and three registry scans to clean off, and it never worked too start with confused confused..........Just hope I am Malware Free now...............Any answersconfused confused confused

 

hey bc gray i may have reccomended dutch to a few people on this site , from what i haveread the problems you are experiencing are the when u type od malware thats incorporated with siper , basically when tou are connected to the internet , the programme looks for a connection and trys to open a pop up wimdow looking for you to purchase one of there products...

that being said i have been using the prog for about a month now and havent received any major setbacks

overall i would really reccommend it as its pros are definitely greater than its cons

ferg46 my AVG(antivirus) went nuts downloading, and I bypassed that, then my system froze four times trying to install, Super would not completely "Uninstall", and never completely installed and ran. I have PM'd DutchMarco with what has happened, and still have to run one more Anti-Virus check of my system......................So my advice right now is avoid Super, till we have heard more from DutchMarco..............Hey I may be wrong but three hours of "Cleaning" later is it worth it..................and Dutch Marco none of this is meant to slag you Bro, just what I have gone through with "Super"

 

ya cool bc grey,i mean all i can go on is my experiences , which is all i give when i post so i understand that 3 hours of cleaning is very very strange... when you hear from marco can u pm or post his / your experiences .

if it turns out that its effecting me without me knowing then i will uninstall asap

Sorry if Super caused you some super problems. But I havn't had any problems with it. no malware whatsoever. And I use it on 3 different computers. maybe you have downloaded super from a different site, (not the official super site) which could mean your file is corrupted with adware or other malware. do you still know what the name of the malware was?

Hello all. I have used this http://ares.mp3.es/ to download and convert youtube vids all in one step. No problems with malware. The final mpeg video is less than optimal quality however.

 

Super requires a lot of RAM. So it may take time to start on some systems. Also, I've heard that the detections from malware/virus programs could be false alarms, but use your own discretion, of course.

I've blocked it from Internet access with ZA, and a² is the only program that discovered any problems for me. It detected rad.light problems in the registry. AVG found nothing.

But the previous version did such a good job, and had no problems, so I've kept it. I have a lot of faith in my security measures, and I do scans often. But again, use your own discretion.

Sure, I'll give it a try.

I've discovered that Super will insert those rad.light registry items every time it starts. a-squared is the only program that seems to find them, but they are listed as a minor threat.

 

Can Super converter convert gvi's?

Old thread man. Anyways, Super doesn't seem to convert gvi's as I don't see an option there but I just started using it today. Just to counter what was said above, at least in the latest July 4th version, AVG did not kick in nor are there any problems with ads etc. It's a nice free converter even when others wouldn't do the job, like FLV to AVI MPEG WMV 3GP MP4 iPod Converter paid for version.
