(By the way, covering his suit in Hippo dung was added insurance...Hippos and their young swim freely amongst crocs who fear them. Stinky but clever!)

 

Hope he doesn't get challenged by an Alpha male croc. Could be interesting.

Reminds me of that bloke (and his girlfriend) that got killed by Grizzly bears that they lived amongst.

Wonder if the hippo dung trick would work in OZ? Bazza

The way all the crocs were crowding away from him, I think they thought he was the alpha male!


That "Grizzly Bear guy" was different. He lived with those bears for quite sometime and shortly after his girlfriend joined him, they were killed. Whereas, this Dr Barr is a researcher and watching his antics with other animals always has me holding my breath, peeping through my fingers!

Re Hippo dung: good question Bazza! Guess it works if crocs familiar with Hippos (which have been known to attack and kill crocs)...not sure about here...Australia isn't a natural habitat for Hippos, so perhaps it wouldn't work the same?confused
