    Hi Everyone,
Im looking for a good Registry Cleaner to increase system performance. I was using CCleaner,Smart PC and Easy Cleaner few months ago. One these programs deleted the Help and Support files in my computer i dont know which one?, Since then i restored the files back from the Windows CD. But now im too scared to use any Registry Cleaner. What do you recommend?

CCleaner is a perennial favorite here at Major Geeks. I like Wise Registry Cleaner also..... check it out on today's (Sat June 16) front page.

Lots of Registry Cleaners at http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads15.html
Some are $$$$, some are Free.

I use CCleaner daily, with others.

Best I have found is the multi-purpose Advanced Windows Care at
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/Advanced_WindowsCare_v2_Personal_d4991.html
Advanced WindowsCare v2 Personal is a comprehensive PC care utility that takes an one-click approach to help protect, repair and optimize your computer.

Beware: It is a powerful utility and will scare hell out of you the first time you use it.
Make sure you create a Restore point, and backup important stuff before you use it the first time.
I use it daily and let it fix what it finds, using its' defaults. One of My Favourites. ;)

I just tried Wise Cleaner now. Really powerful registry Cleaner. Make sure you make 1, or more, copies of your Registry before you start.

I thought I kept a fairly tight ship on my PC and Registry housekeeping daily.
Running Wise Cleaner it found nearly 5,000 items to delete, or at least look at.(

I have attached 2 screen copies for your perusal. Bazza

I thought I kept a fairly tight ship too, CCleaner is used on a daily basis by me too.

I just installed Wise Disk Cleaner & Wise Registry Cleaner, I ran the Disk Cleaner first according to recommendations. It cleaned out almost 700 mbs of junk files. Most of them were WinXP uninstall/update files. I guess it was about a year's worth, I was not aware of how much they accumulate.:eek

They both seem to be a good quality application, I give them a THUMBS UP!
