Okay, I guess this is my second dumb question I'm asking you guys on the board. Right now I'm using Norton Anti-Virus, a full version that detects Spyware, and viruses, and I also use the free version of Ad-Aware. Is this enough protection or should I have another program to detect Spyware and Adware? Also, any recommendations or tips on other programs I should be using? Thanks again guys.

Do you mean you have Norton Internet Security?
Does it really have an antispyware blocking/scanning/removal tool? Are you sure?
    Does it have a firewall?

You must have one and only one of each of the below
    • antivirus
    • realtime blocking antispyware tool
    • software firewall
You should also use additional scan only and non realtime blockings tools like below. These are highly recommended to be installed no matter what you have from above:
    • Spybot Search & Destroy
    • SpywareBlaster
You should read this: How to Protect yourself from malware!

I have Norton AntiVirus which comes with: Auto-Protect, Viruses protection Spyware protection, Internet Worm protection, and Email scanning. To be honest I am not sure if it has a firewall. I do receive pop ups stating that a computer is trying to connect to mine and it gives me the option of blocking or permitting the connection. I do not have Spybot Search and Destroy or Spyware Blaster but I will get those today.

    Thanks for your help.

You may be getting popups from the Windows XP's firewall (if you are running XP SP2). You need to find out whether your package includes a firewall or not. As written in the How to protect yourself link, you do not want to rely on the Windows XP firewall.
