Spybot not working in safe mode

    I can't get spybot to work in safe mode. I see Spybot in the bottom bar, but I can't maximize it. I rebooted, and tried a few times. It works in normal mode though. Would doing it in normal mode help me as well?

    Thankfully I got spybot to work in safe mode after running it in normal mode once.

    But I tried running CounterSpy 4 times and it freezes up at one point during the files cleaning. About 80-90 thousand into it. What am I to do?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    Just follow the directions in the READ ME. It does say if you cannot get CounterSPy to run that you should run AVG Antispyware. So I recommend that you uninstall CounterSpy now (do this first), and then run AVG Antispyware.

    Note: the READ ME also does say if you cannot run programs in safe mode for some reason that you should run them in normal boot mode. Thus if you have anymore problems running in safe boot mode, just run in normal boot mode.

    Thank you very much for your help. Should I try to run Counter Spy in normal boot mode, or just do AVG? I have AVG on my computer.

    Uninstall CounterSpy and run AVG AntiSpyware and attach the log from it. Make sure you are thinking of AVG Antispyware and not AVG Antivirus.
