Making Lemonade...

COVID, now a reality and something that will be with us for sometime means adapting to change, something we, as people, have always been able to achieve, one way or another. Our current rulings (for my local government area anyway) is, we must stay within 5km (3.11mls) radius if we leave home; and we must stay at home unless we have a reasonable excuse to leave home.

Websites outline the rules for our local government area - some vary, but not greatly. I reckon with our typical Aussie attitude, we'll plough on through this era as well as we've done in the past with other setbacks, making the best of "it".

With COVID, we've had our share of Lockdowns, limitations as to what we can do, where we can go, shops sporting signs "CLOSED due to COVID" - now they're doing it tough.

Positively...?

For those whose work does not accommodate working from home, well, our government has now taken them into consideration financially.

I've had more calls from acquaintances/friends than normal, "checking in", to see how I'm going (I've actually been doing the same).

Personally, I haven't minded the Lockdowns, means making changes. Only complaint, it's made me more aware of stuff in and around the house that needs doing, with the gardening getting more scrutiny than usual.

Next door I've seen they've planted a small Lemon Tree which appears to already be showing fruit - guess they're planning on making lemonade.

Get Vaccinated, its our only hope out of this!

 

I like natural juice too. Most drinks now have sweeteners, and they taste pretty rank. Some cordials are still made with sugar, fortunately. I had cherry and vanilla squash recently.

Sainsbury's has great still lemonade. But as I said, many fizzy drinks other than Coca-Cola, are not the same these days.
