Video File Converters (flv To Mp4)

I'm trying to convert FLV files to MP4 files. I've tried VLC's Convert process but it is very unreliable and it tends to destroy the original FLV file while trying to convert it.

There must be around 100 video converter apps on this forum. Any ideas on which one I should try first? Or which one seems to be the most popular?

I'm not sure if this specifically does FLV to mp4 but it is portable so you can try it. I use several different converters/extractors from Pazera and have always been happy with the results. All I saw on the site was FLV to AVI and AVI to MP4.

I'll try using a 2-step process i.e. VLC to convert FLVs to formats other than MP4 (AVI for example) and then convert those files to MP4.

 

I have been using HandBrake to convert files for years. It works very well. Granted, I have never used it to convert FLV to MP4, but I believe it is able to do it.

You could try OBS, free software, a lot of streamers use this.
It has a Remux, which converts to MP4

How to Convert FLV to MP4 in OBS Studio
