I love the color of that Lexus! Mine is a bit more ahh, mature than yours. But I got a pretty good deal on it, and it is paid for. Since it turned cold, the lifts on the rear door and hood have gotten weak. I replaced the ones on the rear gate yesterday, the one for the hood is on the way.

Workmen in my property did something and now only my kitchen sockets are working. I need to sock it to them.

 

I really have to get something done about the mice in my flat. They leave their waste everywhere. I pulled the cooker back and noticed loads of droppings. They can climb up the back to get at things on the bunkers. And they squeak under the floorboards.

I also hear them at night. Paying me a visit, are you, Jerry?

 

I am jealous! My hands get cold easily too! Luckily the heater gets warm faster than all my previous cars. But a heated steering wheel would be sweet!

 

It's cold this evening. I just left to go to M&S.

 

That's so fancy! My car is so old it's like the next year after they stopped putting ashtrays into them.

Well, I guess it isn't my car. But it's used to cart my princess ass around.

 

This week, I learned that the only good lawyer is a dead lawyer. LOL.

I got sentenced in court to 135 days of cozy home curfew for saying to somebody (in 2021, no less), "Just admit it. You never cared about me". Wasn't even a hearing that took place in my local court either. I had to go to Livingston in West Lothian.

 

That seems like a weird sentence for just that Cooper.

 

Yes, I also feel like there is a myriad of missing information, that my life will probably be much improved never knowing. But Boo Lawyers....

I feel like reading the local news in any place is both disturbing and heartbreaking most times these days. I miss the bliss in ignorance. I miss not knowing what people were up to.

 

Gotta admit that I miss the days before the cable TV 24-hour news cycle and, yes, the 'net. It used to take time for news to get around...and then only if it really mattered.

 

granted there's always that line of needing to kinda know what's going to affect you, but generally 96% is all bad news for the sake of taking up airtime, and I'd rather watch the weather channel.

 

I find it easier to not turn on the TV at all. In fact, it's been at least two weeks since the last time I did.

 

Lately I've been spending a lot of time alone, so I've been watching a lot of period dramas on various streaming networks. The ones that are actually historical (some are fun nonsense) all have the same themes as the world today, so society is pretty cyclic. The clothes just change.

I ended up going to bed last night. I seen most of Summer Game Fest, but assumed the RE9 tease was just that. However, I was conned. Missed the trailer being properly revealed by the night's end because I went to fall asleep.

Not my clothes

Anyway. Moving again. This'll be the 7th time in the 15 years my wife and I have been together. We're hoping this is also the last time moving houses.

 

Why are you moving again? Is the new place nice?

 

Every time we've moved house has been for her job/education as an md phd. It's been a wild ride. New house is very nice. It even has a heated outdoor swimming pool (of limited dimensions but still, a swimming pool!).

 

That's very cool! The current apartment I'm in has a number of structural issues so severe I can't even turn the landlord into code enforcement because the property will be condemned and both my and another family will be out on the streets (two single moms and 5 kids!). So, I love to live vicariously through people who ENJOY their home. Someday I'll get back there. One day at a time.

 

That is a bit of a problem I'd say. Aren't there any social housing available or is it like in my country where there's just too few of them built in the past decades?

 

Housing crisis. Have 3 special needs children, so I have to stay in this district to maintain their IEP's. The house isn't surface level bad, you wouldn't know it was fixing to collapse, if you didn't know what you were looking at. If they could put in vertical braces and mend the wall that has the waterfall coming through it, it wouldn't be bad anymore. The landlord can't be bothered to care so im having a friend come brace the house and I will be sending him the bill.

Looking at the bandages, I'd opine frame-up restoration. I've heard they make really great knees these days...
