Who Here Is Sick Of Ai

I am sick and tired of Ai constantly being crammed down peoples throats. It was funny at first but now you can't even trust the information you see on the internet and TV anymore. Just doing a simple fact search on Google is like pulling out teeth. You can't even go on Google play and not see the word Ai. I find this to be a joke. Is anyone else sick of Ai I know I am. Even worse i have read some where that even Microsoft is using ai to update windows 11. I won't even go past 23h2 because of all the bull shit nonsense. And you wonder why windows 11 is crap after 24h2.

 

I certainly am tired of AI being pushed as the future.
Supposedly adding -ai to the end of searches will remove any AI content.
Microsoft seems to have admitted that Windows 11 is broken.

 

Yo, over here. I've done everything I can to turn off CoPilot, Gemini, and whatever is on Google Search. Thumb it down, send scathing feedback about baking in shite people don't want, and feel better inside.

My newest pet peeve is the stupid banana when sending a photo. No, I don't need to "Remix" this photo of a piece of furniture for a client, lol. Don't you remember when life was simple, and crap features no better than bugs had OFF buttons?

 

It was never funny and will, eventually, be the cause of our demise as a thinking species.

 

I'm heartily sick of the AI-generated "stories" on MSN, Facebook, and many other platforms. I'm fed up with CoPilot and want to remove it from my laptop PERMANENTLY. I haven't tried Gemini, but likely won't in the near future. If this is the future, I'm more than happy to stay in the past.

 

50% might be generous. I suspect that the only people who find AI useful are those too lazy to do their own thinking, the ones who want information spoon-fed to them.

This AI crap might be inevitable, but I will go out kicking and screaming.

 

Given that AI has learnt from the Internet, it is Garbage in, garbage out - Wikipedia It "was popular in the early days of computing", so no change there.

Well, finally replaced my old Samsung plasma TV after 14 years. Went with an LG OLED. Lord, all the TRASH I had to disable, and some of it you can't. I need a screen that shows a picture. That's it. I don't need the stinking bloatware, I don't need my TV to be connected to the internet, and I sure as HELL don't need AI voice recognition to be turned on every time the TV does. Still figuring out how to shite-can that feature...

 

want mine it doesn't have any of that crap. Barely has hdmi and USB ports.I stopped watching TV years ago.

 

Main reason I finally broke down and got one is it will be prohibitively expensive down the road. Like the RAM modules I'm glad I bought a year ago. Also, I was tired of the overscan. AMD Catalyst or Adrenalin or whatever the hell they call it now dropped the HDMI scaling capability from their drivers. SO, I couldn't see the borders of my desktop for like five years...

 

I do not like AI at all. Unsure if it's worth me continuing with my fractal designs. I see on the deviant website that people use AI to produce artwork and say they made it/take credit for their artwork.... Whom ever buys their artwork is not authentic. !! I don't use AI to make my fractals and when I post it on my deviant page, I check mark that AI is not use... It is starting to bother me, that it takes me days/hours to produce my fractals with pride.

Over a year ago, more likely 2 years (or more) give or take I asked (and told) a large local health care provider that I DIDN'T want and/or authorize ANY of my personal data (including but NOT limited to any and all medical info/scans/tests, Insurance and/or financial info) to be touched/processed by AI and asked IF they could put it in my records and IF they could 'Opt Out'. They told me at the time they had NOTHING in place to do that. And then proceeded to tell me that government/politicians/legal are working on it (a huge BS, let alone DON'T trust them). Also said if/when that my medical info if/is put into AI would be covered by HIPA (medical privacy laws for medical staff to abide by/to). I replied back that AI ISN'T covered under the HIPA privacy laws because AI ISN'T a PERSON. The person thought a minute and then told me I was RIGHT.

Fast Forward to the other day, a different medical provider said they were upgrading their records for Insurance, Contact info and that "some" of their Doctors using AI for "dictating" their notes and asked IF it was "OK". Told them NO and said I DIDN'T want ANY of my data processed or touched by AI. They had me sign that I didn't authorize/said NO AI. Though thinking now I need to have them give me paper printed proof I said NO to AI.

Sad to say, I DON'T think "water marks" will stop it or work to prove original ownership because AI could easily remove it and make it look like it was never there/water marked.


I WON'T buy or own some POS "Smart" TV.
XoXgaming and the mekanic, got you both beat as I'm still rocking a 26" CRT TV (a 'Dumb' TV) LOL.

 

Even though people who use AI for their artwork, putting a water mark check box is very easy to add. because the settings still have a water mark box to click. Now I've learned that you can upload your art without checking the box that you had used AI... so it is a no win solution...even in the artworld, there are numerous dishonest people. I don't sell any of my works... I just do it for people to see and enjoy.
