I’m receiving a lot of spam to my ISP email - I don’t use it but it is annoying.

There is, of course, a simple solution to this: if you believe Outlook is responsible, stop using it. If you believe Microsoft as a whole is responsible, stop using them. If, however, you are tied to the Windows environment for some reason (gaming, perhaps), then realize that there are tradeoffs for everything you want in this life.

I never post my email addresses publicly, because of bots. But I do get spam notifications for a lot for things if I don't turn this off for certain Android apps. In particular, the 8 Ball Pool app chucks like 6 ads in front of me before I can proceed.

Try another email client, then, or Gmail's web interface. If the spam still appears, 'taint Outlook's doing. However, spam seems to be unavoidable, at least to some degree.

The only problem is when sites get hacked it won't matter. They sell your email.Like when majorgeeks got hacked in 2015 or 14 a lot of peoples emails where leaked.Including mine.

So, if these spams you're getting are to this same email address, it's neither Google's nor Microsoft's fault that you're getting them.

Spam filters are like oil filters; some stuff gets through. If you have it too tight, oil/e-mail won't flow at all. With spam filters, it's a constant balancing act.

You could block all except what you manually allow. No one wants to do this, as it's tedious. They want perfect automation. It's not going to happen. (in our lifetimes)

So, that's where they're coming from. The question was, are you still using a previously-hacked email address? If so, do not blame either Google or Microsoft.

Yes i do use it.And it has a strong password.

    there is
    .Ru which is russia
    .biz
    .id
    hotmail
    even gmail spam.

If you look at the full email link header.

The password has nothing to do with spam.

If you want to see a reduction in spam, stop using an address you say was compromised. Yeah, I know: it's a PITA, but you ought to have considered this when it happened.

Endless spamming, a major disregard for one's privacy, AI, and all manner of toxic BS online has killed the internet as we once knew it.

I'm transitioning to being a behind-the-scenes web user as of next week. Social media settings means I can toggle what I see, who sees me, and who to kick off if there's any issue. Whatever I wanna see too is all under one roof.

This simply isn't that easy to do with public forums. It makes it too easy for the parasitic nuisances with no life to follow you around, harassing you on unmoderated message boards because of some babyish grudge, jealousy streak, or whatever other pathetic reason they have for not moving on.

Basically, I feel that most forums are totally as dead as a doorknob today, and lacking security. So this is the main reason I have thrown in the towel.

I can make uploads private on YouTube and just invite certain followers to see what goes up. That way, I cannot be easily pestered by persistent trolls, even if they choose to subscribe. Which they do, of course.

That's another thing I will never be impressed with. Google buying YouTube was a big mistake. How is it you can block someone on some social media accounts and they cannot easily see your stuff with the profile you just blocked, yet updates to YouTube and X took away that basic, yet important feature? People on X can still look at your feed. Hiding your posts just causes a lot of setbacks.

It's stupid. Blocking should be signalling, "Hey - you're not welcome!" Go bother someone else.

All blocking on YouTube does is hide their accounts, or stop them from making shorts. Blocked users can still get notified of your new uploads, or community activity.

That ought to get changed, to be honest. It's ridiculous how giants like Google just don't give a crap.

You can, although I'll admit that it can be a major pain. However, without doing so, you are probably doomed to be continually inundated with spam...and again, it'll be the fault of neither Google nor Microsoft.

Since last night, I cannot click on anything on my phone, or even reset it. This happened shortly after I downloaded 'Clean Tube' to get YT with no ads playing on videos. I also noticed a green dot.

I hope I can just wait until the battery runs out, and then recharge it. But if not, I think the phone may be screwed.

I also installed Prime Video and X using APKs, so I hope they didn't shove a damn virus or malware on my phone. Because my phone last had a security update in 2021, because Google probably stopped supporting that model. So I reckon that certain apps could be unsafe.
