Android Tanlrts And Hdmi?

    After my latest windows tablet died for NFR, I am thinking about using an Android tablet for my next buy. I want to use a KVM switch on this so I can use my existing monitor and keyboard setup, after looking at all these Android I cannot see any HDMI out. Am I spitting upwind or does such a thing exist?

    I've never tried this but... All new Androids are going to have a USB-C port. If there existed a USB-C to HDMI cable? Wait, find a KVM switch with a USB-C in, a HDMI out and a USB-A out? For instance

    I already have the KVM switch. I'm looking for a cheap tablet that can do this. I'll keep researching this. Maybe an old Win 10 machine.

    First two questions:
    1. Tanlrts? Was this supposed to be tablets? If so, I'll edit your subject line.
    2. NFR has 35 acronyms. What do you mean?

    Two choices for HDMI monitor use with a tablet: USB C to HDMI cable or USB C hub which has lots of ports.


    I'd forget the KVM switch. I use a bluetooth keyboard with my tablets on the rare times I need to type a lot. If you plan to use a keyboard all the time, get a hub which has the ports.

    The one not safe for work or school, I bet.
    I've one like this. I can plug in a charger, keyboard and mouse and HDMI cable.
    This. The only reason you'll need a KVM is if you're sharing that monitor/keyboard/mouse with something else.

    Samsung has Dex and Motorola, Lenovo, Xiaomi, Huwaei and Google have equivalents (probably the rest too) which would use an adapter hub like that. I have the S21 (I know, a phone but not functionally different from their tablets) ant the only issue is some apps don't quite scale up. But for sure, check first to make sure they do.
