3 computers all joined FTP workgroup
    all XP Home
all connected to a D-Link Router
    all can browse the internet
all have Client for MS Network, File & Printer Sharing, TCP/IP
I also did the home network wizard and ran the file on all computers

A laptop multiple logons (no password)
B desktop same logon as desktop C (no password)
C desktop same logon as desktop B (no password)

In "Workgroup Computers" A and B can see ABC but C is not accessible

C can't even access the FTP workgroup (can browse to see FTP but then it is not accessible)

How do I get desktop C to play nice and I guess first of all even access the FTP workgroup? I can browse to see FTP Workgroup but it just hangs when I try to access it.

Are you using a software firewall on these computers?

    If not, you should.

If so, you need to define who has access to each computer in the firewall and make sure you have networking enabled.

You should also have all users setup on all computers.

You should also make sure that all 3 computers are in the same workgroup and that workgroup shold NOT be "Workgroup" or "MSHome"

For some reason turning off the Windows Firewall on problem computer (C) connecting to workgroup and then turning the Firewall back on is what did it for me. WHich was wierd because the other two had Windows Firewall on.

I would recommend that you install a better firewall like Zone Alarm. The free version is better then the Windows Firewall because it gives you better control over which programs have outgoing internet access.

Yes, this I do know about Zone Alarm. These clients don't like all the popups and the hassle so I guess I'll just come remove the malware when there computers get so slow they can't work.
