"127.0.0.1:1114" What is this?

Mucho apologies for what must be a really bone-head level question. But fairly recently NoScript in my Firefox browser has been showing up this 'do I want to allow 127' etc thing. I thing this has just started showing up in last two or so updates to NoScript as I don't remember seeing it a long time ago.

Is this a web site checking out my PC? Making sure I'm real? Anything to worry about or something that is necessary to a good connection/experience with any given website?

Unless I'm mistaken, 127.0.0.1 is the local 'loopback' LAN address and the :1114 is a port on the loopback.... what exactly is going on with Firefox on your PC, I can't really say. But because 127.0.0.1 is a local IP, you should be safe, unless the warning you're getting is about something incoming to port 1114. If something is trying connect from the outside to port 1114, I'd be concerned, otherwise, no worries. I know this doesn't help whole lot..... hopefully someone will come along and post something more informative......

1114 appears to be a mysql port, so i would go ahead and block it. Unless your running a mysql server,
