    Hi folks:wave
I loaded xp on to an IBM preloaded computer (after having great difficulties getting the preloaded version off) but it will only load 16bit vga screen files and not allow for different monitor types, I have loaded from this disc on to another computer which gives me a choice of 16 or 32bit, I dont get it!!rolleyes

    Cheers

I think a little more info would be very helpful. What is the model number of the IBM? Desktop or laptop. Have you installed the video drivers, and which one if you did?

Yeah- I'm with Fred on this. More info please... another thing: I don't see why removing the pre-installed OS would be difficult at all. Just boot to your XP CD (or any boot CD for that matter) and delete/reformat the partition....
