im having a problem with this game too and i have visited their support website but theres no

help there. i also installed the patch for the game but it still gives me a full system hang.

when it does that i have no other choice but to reset the system with the reset button cause it

just hangs there. ive tried leaving it for 10 minutes but it has no effect.

i had it working alastnight for 2 minutes but innocently i pressed the button to disable music

and from then on it refuses to work. can you please help. can you tell me where i can renable the

music by editing the config file if at all possible? ive even reinstalled the game but same as

    usual. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

    Heres my system specs:
    ati radeon 9600 pro 256mb
    asus a7v8x-x
    2 sticks of 512mb ram pc333
    1 40 gig maxtor hdd
    1 10 gig hdd
    500 watt power supply

im using the latest ati radeon drivers v5.9
windows xp sp2 with all the latest update patches

also i have 18 wheels of steel convoy but randomly this game crashes to the desktop.
cpu is an AMD ATHLON XP 2200+ 1.8GHZ.
i dont have anything overclocked either.

ps im sorry for starting a new thread but i got fed up of waiting for a reply

yup ive installed the latest patch.

ive emailed the company support team and got a stupid automated reply telling to install the latest windows patches , installe the latest graphics card drivers and make sure the disk was clean. all this after i clearly telling them that windows has all the latest patches and i have the newest graphics card drivers. i also had the disk made into iso format so that the disk would be safe and wouldnt get dirty/ scratched so that aint a problem cause its installed from my hdd. i totally give up on these two sims 18 wheels of steel pedal to the metal (the one that hangs the computer) and 18 wheels of steel convoy (which randomly crashes to the desktop)) even i love them but these bugs are redicolous. nobody can seem to help and ive never had this problem before.

i wouldnt usualy ask for help because im well experienced with trouble shooting computers and i reinstalled windows a good few times but this was one call for help i need

A check of the specs needed for that game if I have the correct one 18 Wheels of Steel: Pedal to the Metal lists only Windows Me / 2000 / 98 / NT so on that, have you tried to use XPs compatability mode to set the games exe to one of those?

To clarify, right click on the exe and go on the compatibility tab. Tick the box that says run in compatability mode and select your operating system.

What Version Of 18 Wheels Of Steel Do You Have?
I Just Started Playing Convoy Recently The Only Problems I've Had Is With My ATI Radeon 9600SE The Game Would Crash Evey 5 To 10 Minutes, I Cured That By Putting In My Nvidia Geforce FX 5700LE (But It's A Slower Card.)

I know what you mean.I could'nt get any help from valusoft either.Or anybody else.I'm running a Pentium 4 3ghz,1gig ram and the 9250 ati 256 mb and still get a slideshow in cities and hwy interchanges. My fps varies from 16 to 22 in cities and 22 to 45 on hwys.It seems to me there is a bottleneck somewhere between the cpu and the gpu.Now then,I've posted several threads with other forums and have got no results.Everybody wants to help but I just can't seem to get the right answer.
