I had accidentally changed my IP address to 192.168.1.1 while configuring the modem.

Re: Linksys Wireless router - 192.168.1.1 not found

so if the modem (to Internet) is at 192.168.0.1 and the wireless router (for all computers, wired or wireless) is at 192.168.1.1 then they can not connect to get to the internet due to the subnet not matching?

    No.

To connect to your router, when you put the IP address in the URL address line of IE do not put the HTTP, just the 198.168.1.1. Also, do not make any modifications to the router when you are connected to the router via a wireless connection. Always be connected to the router via a cable when making configuration changes to your router.
