1st of April virus hit me

    Hi everyone,

    Well, one of my computers pretty much got destroyed by this virus.

    When I turn on it does not recognize any of my hard drives in the BIOS.
    Rarely though, it turns on by fluke and I can use windows for a few minutes.
    I have not succeeded in getting my hard drive backed up as nothing runs properly. :cry :cry :cry

    I have tried Acronis True Image, Norton Ghost 14 and neither of them works.

    In one of the flukes where my hard drive gets recognized I put in the Acronis True Image bootable disk. It then said it did not have the serial number and I didn't get another shot after I reburned it. :***:***:***
    I just need to make the BIOS recognize the Hard drive.

    I am unaware of the virus doing this. It was supposed to be a registry entry to get data, not trash hard drive. Why do you think you got it? If not, reset your bios from the board and see if it boots.
