2 Computers Turn To Molasses! W10

Both my and my wife's computer will just sorta die; they work but things that should take a couple seconds take many minutes. Restarting fixes it, but it can take 15 minutes just to shut the computer down. Once I had to unplug it.
Mine is 3 months old, hers maybe 5 years. They are both on W10.
This started perhaps a month ago. Before that they were normal.
I have run 4 virus programs (Panda, SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, Bitdefender) and they all report no problems. On mine I also ran the full Tango (http://www.securitytango.com/windows.php) with nothing showing up.
I originally blamed our internet connection, but that couldn't affect my ability to close a program, or even move the mouse. Since it is two computers, it can't very well be hardware. Can it?
    What can I do?

Dig into Windows Reliability Reports and report back on the findings from both computers, please, include screenshots as well, if you like.

I'm not overly impressed by the Windows Waltz routine in that link...

Might both computers be running realtime AV programs? Doing so would cause the sort of slowness you describe. Tell us what security software the computers are running and whether each runs at boot.

I've attached the reliability thing from both computers. Needless to say, telling it to find a solution doesn't help.

Prior to last week, I had Avira AV and Malwarebytes on my computer, and Panda on hers. Last week I got rid of Avira and Panda, and bought Bitdefender.
Before you ask, I have Mozy and Icloud doing remote backups, and EaseUS doing local backups.
Yes, I know that is a lot, but all of it has been on for a couple years without any problems. (EaseUS replaced something else a month ago)
I also installed a wireless printer 5 weeks ago.
That is all I can think of that is different than when the computers worked fine.

I am a little paranoid about malware; but I have been for years and the problems are recent.

They all look like Windows issues, can you check through the other dates on both and check that they're consistent?

Mine got bad on 11/11, which made me suspect Bitdefender that I installed on 11/10. But my wife's got bad on 11/9, which is why I installed Bitdefender in the first place; I presumed a virus which I hoped BD could deal with. So BD couldn't be the cause of my wife's problems.

A cumulative update was installed on my computer on 11/8 and on wife's on 11/9. That seems like a direct hit on my wife's problems, but misses mine by a couple days. Still, it seems more likely than BD.

Try removing the Cum. Update for a few days as a test. If it's fine without during that time, try installing it once more.

    Two questions...
    1) I deleted temporary files as part of the security tango thing (see op). Does that affect my ability to uninstall the cum update?
    2) It did an adobe flash up date at the same time. Delete that also?

    I sincerely appreciate your help.

Temp and tifs deleted wouldn't hinder the uninstall of a Windows Update (there may be very rare cases where a 3rd party software update or install will fail, where they leave a file needed to load the software at the next boot in a temp. directory).

I would use the Flash uninstaller, reboot, install a newly downloaded version (Flash is being a real pain again, until very recently we had an alt. long-term business version we could use which was very stable - they're not making that version available any more). Don't forget to deselect any 'extras' offered if you're redirected to the usual Flash download page.

I notice the only time my wife's computer failed on 11-17 she was on Nordstom.com. On 11-18 and 11-19 I went to Nordstom.com on my computer and it failed also; the only times those days. Seems like more than a coincidence.
But it doesn't fail every time, and it never fails on my laptop.
    Does this mean anything?

I haven't had the nerve to uninstall the update. It has done a number of other minor updates in the meanwhile. Can I still uninstall the cumulative update or is it better to live with this until the next update?
