2 ddr 400 installed..Bios shows 266

I had a Kingston 512 mb chip installed in my Biostar ---- K8M800-M7A
Bios showed 400 at boot...
I bought a Patriot 1g ddr chip and installed it /w Kingston chip...
NOW BIOS AT BOOT SHOWS 266
what can i do to make it go back to 400

 

Incorrect memory for your motherboard. Go to Crucial.com and search for the correct RAM modules, or check the Motherboard/Computer manufacturers website for the correct type.

 

They are both Pc3200--
1.Kingston 512-ddr pc-3200-
2.Patriot 1 gig ddr pc-3200

Individually Kington reads DDR 400 CL3 2T
Patriot reads DDR 400 CL3 1T
bOTH IN STALLED AT SAME TIME ..
ddr 266 cl2 2t

Weird hugh...

 

Some motherboards will lower the ram speed when you use more than 1 or 2 dimms.

Can you go into bios and change the ram davider so they will run at DDR400?

 

I can get to my bios..but I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO AFTER THAT..
