Ok this is a very frustrating issue that literally popped up out of nowhere. First I am using my Neighbors internet connection through WiFi for my Desktop(An XP Pro system) to connect to the internet. This is, with permission, through a Linksys WRT-54g router. It is under the 192.168.1.xxx addresses, my PC happens to be at .103. This network works fine and connects great.

The issue comes in with my 2nd network. This is a wired network that connects from the same desktop to my AppleTV. I am using a cheap Actiontech router to serve this network under the 192.168.2.xxx addresses. The PC takes whatever the router gives it as I just use automatic configuring on that router.

This was working great until about a week ago when the computer started dropping the wireless signal. It only happens intermittently and without warning. If I disable the wired network the internet works fine and has no problems. It seems that XP can not decide what network to use to connect to the internet while both networks are enabled.

Any help would be great. I can provide any other info needed. Thanks! :)

I figured out the problem. I had set the default gateway on both the wired and wireless connection. Apparently this confuses the computer. By removing the default gateway from the connection that does not connect to the internet, the computer is forced to over look that connection.

In my case removing the default gateway from my wired connection it allows the computer to only look at the wireless connection to connect to the internet. Thanks to all those who looked at the post.
