2 problems: sound and error message

Okay, I have 3 annoying problems that I can't find an answer for with google. I got Windows XP Service Pack 3.

1: When I start the computer, no sound will play. My sound card is a SoundMAX one, integrated in my motherboard, an ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe (http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=149&l3=591&l4=0&model=1751&modelmenu=1). My driver menu looks like this: http://i35.tinypic.com/2lxczcy.jpg, while it's supposed to look like this: http://www.digitalbreed.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/soundmax-with-stereomix.png. The sound is fine if I restart the computer. Might be interesting to add that I of some reason turn off the power after the PC has shut down with the switch on the back of the computer. Also, I can't find anywhere to download new drivers. I don't remember when this first happened, but it might be after I installed SP3.

2: When I start Windows, I get the following error message: "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services encountered a problem and needs to close" (not sure if this is word for word, it's translated from Norwegian). This happened after I installed SP3.

I have uninstalled SP3, and I still have the problems. Also, I just noticed that I get the message "The error ocurred 05.10.2008 kl 01:48:46" (Kl=clock) with the Generic Host Process error

 

Try reinstalling your chipset drivers:
AMD Chipset Driver Program for Windows 2000/XP & 64bit XP.(WHQL)
Then your audio.
SoundMAX AD1988B Audio Driver V5.10.01.6110 for Windows 2000/XP(WHQL)

Okay, reinstalled chipset drivers and audio drivers. Have to wait and see if the error comes. Thanks
