2 software problems

    ok i'm having trouble with two programs.
    PowerTab and GIMP2.0

    everytime i try to open them, they close by themselves.
    i've uninstalled and reinstalled them multiple times and redownloaded the software as well.

    got any ideas as to what the problem is?
