I have 2 tower systems, both running XP pro, can I link them together and copy all the software from one to another

1 is really slow doing anything, the other isnt bad, its connects to the internet fairly fast, just a bit slow rebooting, the other is as slow as grass growing, but has a lot more software on it, that I'd like to use, some I dont have the discs for

The other takes an eternity to connect to the internet, is really slow doing anything really, even after I have donne a clean up using uniblue power suite, defrag and any disc clean up

    Advice please

Not likely. There are the issues of registry entries, vital files that may be installed in other locations beside the program files folder and maybe even special drivers.

You would be better off downloading the installers online and starting fresh.

Ghosting would be suggested. Acronis is one I like but it costs a little, best money spent IMO.

If same brand and model you might get away with swapping.
Otherwise I see component conflicts happening.
