Would like to know the simplest way to load all files, settings, programs and every thing else from a 2000 PRO workstation to a new refurb XP PRO workstation. I used the file transfer wizard, but it did not move all that I need I want everything put on the new machine in the quickest most hassle free manner. Please please Help and give details because I are dumb!!!

You can not move installed programs from one OS to a different OS. You need to find the CDs and install the programs on XP, assuming that the programs are compatible with XP.

Thanks I was afraid you would say that. After I load the programs on the new workstation will the the XP file transfer wizard transfer the necessary files to the new machine so I can get it back to work quickly?

That I can't answer because I don't have XP installed so I've never used the file transfer wizard.

Thanks again. Guess I,ll build it from the bottom up. Probably the best anyway that way I will know exactly what is in it, right?
