2003 powerpoint

Hi everyone,
I have been playing with powerpoint. I made a presentation and saved as:
Powerpointshow.pps but it will not open as a show. It opens in edit mode like you are working on it. I looked in MS Community's and the only answer i could find was to use detect and repair but it asks for the disk. When the company i was working for went under the disk went with it.
Any help would be appreciated.

When you open the .ppt file it shouldnt open as a show. You have to go to Slide Show on your toolbar.

Thanks for the responce. I have saved it as .pps ( PowerPointShow.pps)
When i send it to someone- e-mail and they open it it opens in edit mode and comes through as PowerPointShow.pps.ppt although it only the .pps extention i my end.

I just found it i didn't realize you could scroll down in save file type as= to powerpointshow.
Another one of those DUMMY things. I'll give myself a slap in the head!
